AASHE Welcomes Two New Platinum Institutions

AASHE is pleased to announce that two new institutions have earned a Platinum rating:

These institutions join eight other Platinum institutions: Arizona State University, Colorado State University, Cornell University, Stanford University, Thompson Rivers University, University of California Irvine, University of Connecticut, University of New Hampshire, and Université de Sherbrooke. .

STARS 3.0 Development

The next major revision of STARS is currently under development, with release tentatively slated for late 2023. In the interest of transparency, AASHE is maintaining a public and so participants can check the status of the project and review credits as the STARS Steering Committee approves them for public comment. So far, three sets of credits have been provisionally approved and will be formally opened to public comment, most likely in the fourth quarter of 2022: Curriculum, Transportation and Work.

Study Documents the Positive Impacts of STARS

A recently published article in the has found that using STARS as a reporting framework results in improved institutional performance:

Last Day to Submit Under STARS 2.1 is May 30

STARS 2.1 will be retired at the end of this month in favor of STARS 2.2, which was released in 2019. If your institution is planning to submit a report under version 2.1, it must do so before May 31, 2021. Otherwise, a user with administrative access should from within the . Upgrading will copy saved data saved into the appropriate documentation fields in the current version.

 

After May 31, we will begin the process of automatically migrating any remaining institutions to STARS 2.2. .

Hardship Discount

To help ensure that full participation in STARS remains accessible to everyone, a new hardship discount is available to institutions whose current financial circumstances would otherwise prohibit participation. to request a one-time hardship discount.
